In the Nellore Deputy Mayor election, TDP-supported candidate Tahseen won with a majority of 29 votes. She received 41 votes, while YSRCP candidate Kareemulla received 12 votes. However, YSRCP councilors boycotted the council meeting. They raised slogans against the councilors who switched parties. TDP councilors chanted "Jai Balayya" in opposition.

The Hindupur Municipality Chairman election was tense from the start. Ramesh from TDP and Lakshmi from YSRCP were in the contest. Ultimately, Ramesh was elected as Chairman. MLA Balakrishna took the election seriously and ensured his party's candidate won. However, camp politics in Hindupur Municipality came into play. Indraja, who won as Chairperson from YSRCP, resigned and joined TDP, which led to the chairperson's seat becoming vacant. With the Municipal Chairman election scheduled for February 3, TDP became alert and moved 20 councilors to a camp in Bangalore, heating up the political scene in Hindupur.
