In recent times, electric vehicles (EVs) have made significant progress in India, with EV scooter sales surging. In this context, several new EV scooters are being launched with attractive features aimed at middle-class consumers. Recently, at the Auto Expo 2025, the renowned company Ferrauto launched the Super EV scooter named Defy-22. Let's take a closer look at the Ferrauto Defy-22 scooter.
Ferrauto Defy-22, which was introduced by OPJ Mobility, a company that was previously a small EV manufacturer, has now made its debut at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. The starting price for this model is ₹99,999 (ex-showroom). Pre-bookings for the scooter began on January 17, 2025, at ₹499. The scooter has an attractive design, featuring company badging on the side panel along with an extended front apron.
Notable features of the Ferrauto Defy-22 include an LED headlamp, dual-level floorboard, lines on the side panel, a single-piece grab rail, and a tail lamp. The scooter runs on a 1.2 kWh motor and can achieve a maximum speed of 70 km/h. It comes equipped with an ICA-certified, juiced-up battery with a range of 80 km. The scooter operates on a 2.2 kWh LFP battery.
The scooter offers three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sports. It also boasts 12-inch alloy wheels and a 7-inch touch screen display, which adds to its unique appeal.
Additional features include smartphone connectivity, navigation, and music playback. The suspension system comprises telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Disc brakes on the scooter allow for efficient speed control. The scooter also offers a 25-liter under-seat storage capacity.
Ferrauto Defy-22 is available in 7 dual-tone color options: Champagne Cream, Black Fire, Coastal Ivory, Unity White, Resilience Black, Dove Gray, and Matte Green. While bookings have begun, the official delivery timeline for the scooter has not been disclosed by the company yet.
